Practice Photos March 1, 2012

I was at practice this morning and had to try out the new camera. Below my practice notes is a Flickr slideshow from today’s practice.
Practice notes:
- Jeff Samardzija took one off the leg in live BP today. There was a big gasp (and I’m sure a few prayers) but he seemed fine and went straight back to the rubber.
- Brett Jackson is getting better and better with every practice. Today during Batting Practice he was absolutely crushing the ball. Definitely a player I am looking forward to seeing in the big leagues.
- Giovanni Soto was a limited participant in practice today. Although Soto didn’t participate in any running or fielding activities, the fact he was out there is reassuring. He took a couple of rounds in the cage throughout the day.
- Spring Training’s first game is Sunday at HoHoKam against the Oakland Athletics. I’ll be there and if you have any questions about the players you can tweet me at @IvyEnvy.
