I walked down to Petco field and bought my tickets just now. It’s a really cool looking stadium. Very open and clean. I purchased tickets very close to the cubs bullpen. I know Gregg has been officially ousted from the closer position, but if he so much as thinks about warming up, I’m gonna jump [...]

I am going to San Diego to see the Cubs play the Padres tonight. If I see Kevin Gregg I’m taking a golf club to his throwing arm. Hell, it might improve his pitching.

I shouldn’t be writing this post. I stayed up late for this West Coast game simply because I wanted to hear the Cubs win a 1-0 game. It would have been the first of the season. Enter, Kevin Gregg.
Piece of shit. I beg someone to defend him. Give me one reason he should not be [...]

Here is an addendum to Corey’s scary stat post–After tonight’s demoralizing loss to the Phillies at home (is there any morale left?), the Cubs are now 19-31 against teams that have a record above .500. The Cubs have not shown that they can beat the “big boys” this year. This terrible record is an indication [...]

Goes to the Rockies’ mascot, Dinger. This “anthropomorphic purple triceratops” could be seen in the seats right behind home plate during the bottom of the ninth on Saturday. He was rubbing his belly and doing his best to distract Kevin Gregg from his efforts to save the game for the Cubs, and lord knows Gregg [...]

So, Kevin Gregg had back-to-back blown saves this weekend, and tonight’s game featured back-to-back homeruns leading to that second blown save. While Saturday’s blown save eventually led to much excitement, today’s failure just led to a lot of swearing. Some Cubs fans who weren’t quite ready to kick Gregg to the curb may be ready [...]

Randy Wells must have entered tonight’s game thinking “I’m going to throw a no-hitter to ensure this awful bullpen doesn’t ruin another start for me.” Well, he nearly accomplished that. He took a no-hitter into the 7th and handed the game over to Marmol in the 8th with the Cubs leading 5-1. After an inning [...]

I’ve been putting off this post for a few days, but a Monday night with no Cubs game and a wife that wants to watch The Bachelorette is giving me the 20 minutes it takes for me to construct a post and then go back and attempt to fix all my grammatical errors.
During Lou’s presser [...]

This bullpen is not good enough. It will plague the team all season. Hendry should recognize that now and make some drastic changes. Spend money, deal some guys, do what it takes.
Today’s display was disgusting and although I didn’t watch all of the post-game with Lou, I was amazed at how much [...]

It was a tough loss today. I didn’t get to watch much of the game, but I did get home to see the end and Koyie Hill spike the ball in frustration. So, should we start worrying about Gregg? I don’t think so. Cotts was much more to blame for the loss Tuesday than Gregg. [...]
