Even though the Cubs lost last night, I’ll be damned if they aren’t playing some entertaining baseball right now. I know the D-backs are terrible, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve still just had fun watching the Cubs play baseball, and watching the Diamondbacks play makes me feel a little better about the Cubs. On one [...]

It looks like Cardinals fans are cursed with Dick Stockton this year. I listened to last night’s game on the radio, so I didn’t have to suffer through old Dick. It boggles my mind that TBS brings that guy back every year. I don’t think that calling a game is a simple task, but there [...]

In yesterday’s podcast, we discussed the Cubs chances of winning the division or the wildcard. I said something to the effect that I didn’t think the Cubs would make it in the playoffs unless they show some urgency. I believe it was Andy that asked me what that exactly means.

Last night, the Single A Cubs affiliate, the Peoria Chiefs came to the Quad Cities to face our hometown River Bandits, which is a Cardinals affiliate. The Peoria roster is a little more loaded right now than usual. Josh Vitters and Ryan Flaherty are currently occupying the left side of the infield for the Chiefs. [...]

Ok, I guess that I should re-clarify myself. I never said Dusty was a good manager. I was just as dissapointed as everyone else at not making the playoffs in 2004. It hurt me just as bad to watch us be terrible in the ensuing years. My only point is that

I couldn’t believe the video of Marty Brennaman that Corey posted the other day. I understand that they were mad about the balls being chucked onto the field, but mention it and move on!
