I know that everyone’s probably already talked this to death.. but here at Camp Shelby, I’m a few weeks behind the real world.. I know what’s going on in the real world, but my reaction time is a little slow.. That said, this is why I think the Cubs need Mr. Sandberg.
1. We need a [...]

I just got back from our IvyEnvy Cubs Jr. / Cardinals Jr. meet-up at Modern Woodmen Park.
We all had a great time tonight. If you’ve never been to MWP, I can tell you that it is an excellent experience. We watched the Peoria Chiefs get completely crushed by the Quad City [...]

Due to issues with my blackberry this is not a live blog. The following is my account of Lilly’s rehab start this evening against the Burlington Bees. I’m not Vin Scully and I’ve had a few drafts so please excuse any errors.

Though the only news I’d really like to hear from the Cubs right now would be a trade sending Milton Bradley out of town, I was happy to hear that Ryne Sandberg will be managing the Iowa Cubs next year. Des Moines is only about 2 1/2 hours from Ivy Envy headquarters and I expect [...]

We discuss Milton Bradley and talk about the Cubs minor league system in an interview with Matt from Wrigley Bound. You’ll have to excuse some of the background noise. Our neighbors were having a new roof put on their house. That noise proves that yes, we actually do record outside.
Those present: Corey, Andy, Kurt and [...]

3:19:15 PM: About to make the 90 mile trip to Peoria. Heading down with fellow #Cubs fan and friend of the blog, Ian.
5:44:24 PM: 10th row is really 5th row. Right on top of the away dugout. I’m sure the guys in green can admit Peoria smells better than Clinton.
5:56:22 PM: Since [...]
